Welcoming Picnic – March

On Tuesday, March 8, Melbourne was greeted with gloomy skies and dark clouds. Not to worry though, because the typical ever-changing weather of Melbourne was not to hinder the numerous students who came to PPIA’s Welcoming Picnic!
Luckily, as 12 PM rolled around, Melbourne showed some signs of mercy, and let a little sunlight peek through its clouds. Bundles of students soon started to crowd South Lawn, and we’re happy to say that a big portion of the crowd came from PPIA’s picnic area! Mouth-watering smells of Nasi Goreng and Satay Ayam from PPIA’s picnic area wafted across South Lawn, and soon PPIA members were left begging for more Satay and Nasi Goreng. Yells of “Satay nya udah habis????!” were beginning to arise from the students, but soon enough, the Es Cincau was tasty enough to curb the members’ Satay addiction.
Games such as Human Knot were held to break the ice among new students, and everybody started to jostle around to form groups. After all, the winners of the game got to win CANDY! And when else would you get free candy right?!
