Orientation Week

A very belated Happy New Year 2011, folks! (But better late than never, yes?) Today, we bring you a short report on what PPIA Melbourne University has been doing.
Our Open Table during Orientation Week’s Societies and Clubs’ Day resulted in a total of 100++ new members signing up, and guess what, more than five of them are local students who are purely interested to be a part of the Indonesian community.
Eager to contribute something more to Orientation Week, this time, PPIA Melbourne University hosted an event known as the ‘City Guide’. This is an opportunity for new students (and new Melbournians alike
) to explore the city along with some of our selected members. Not only the journey took them to State Library, Lygon Street, and a tour around our own beloved university campus, it also brought them to the Melbourne Convention Centre, Crown Casino, and Docklands. What an adventure, right?
In any case, it was a great time to get to know one another and share our experiences, especially for those who are new to university life. Of course, there’s really nothing quite like meeting new people as well.
Lastly, PPIA Melbourne University would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of you members, old or new. As always, we look forward to seeing you around campus and in any future event we will be hosting.

May this school year be the best ever! Cheers to 2011!
